Wolbachia strain diversity and penetrance from 17 populations across the geographical range of the damselfly Ischnura elegans. The top right window shows the data from the two populations in Japan. The sample in Morocco [AI] (bottom left) is from the species I. saharensis, while the samples from [CO], [SC] and [SD] are I. genei. Size of each pie chart is proportional to the number of individuals included in the study. ‘*’: Wolbachia infection rates in these populations are only based from the screening of one unique individual.
